Inuit Circumpolar Council Joins Calls for Arctic Drill Moratorium
ICC President Jimmy Stotts says sacrificing the pristine Arctic environment for the sake of resource extraction is unacceptable.

With offshore exploration still very much under the spotlight after the Gulf oil spill, Scotland based Cairn Energy is due to start drilling off western Greenland next month. Concerned about exploration close to its waters, Canada will be sending an energy regulator to keep an eye on activities.
